Portland NLG Concerned Over Recent FBI Raids of Local Activists

On Wednesday July 26th, the FBI conducted a series of coordinated raids against activists in Portland, Olympia, and Seattle. They subpoenaed several people to a special federal grand jury, and seized computers, thumb drives, and black clothing, among other items.

The Portland NLG has received several calls in relation to the raids and is monitoring events closely. People with questions about how to protect their rights during government investigation should consider reading If an Agent Knocks, a publication created by the Center for Constitutional Rights to provide advice to activists who may be targeted by FBI agents or other federal investigators.
